PASSED BY THE Alexander Wang store yesterday since they are having a 60% off sale right now. I found this beautiful dress, and have actually been looking for one for a wedding, I will go to in like 10 days. I couldn’t really make up my mind if I should go for it or not, but after talking to the girl who works there, I got it. I love it when the staff really puts the effort in, like when they really try to understand you, and respect when you cant decide and being silly.. That makes me buy it, like a bonus. Another favorite I have here in the city, is this guy at Kirna Zabete. He is always so awesome! Anyway dudes, do you like the dress? Tell me I made the right decision..

I absolutely love the dress but I wouldn’t wear it on a wedding. In my mind black (or white) isn’t right for wedding. Feels more like a red-carpet dress. Love it.

It’s very pretty but like one other girl here said that you don’t wear white or black at the wedding, if it’s a classic wedding anyway. Hope it isn’t! :)

It’s absolutely gorgeous, but DEFINITELY not suitable for a wedding. I don’t agree that you always have to follow all the “wedding rules” but that dress is a bit too “dark” for such a day. Definitely a stunning dress though for other occations!

I feel similar in those situations. Sometimes when something is on sale that I am thinking of purchasing, I am unsure if I just want it for the deal, or because I really like it. The sales people usually talk me into getting it! But I think it would be great for a wedding! And given your ability to style an outfit, you could make it dressy/elegant enough.

Its a very elegant and beautyful dress, sexy but not showing off too much. steel grey with a light suntanned skin is classic and very suitable for a summer wedding. Go for it, if you feel “on top of the world & beautyful wearing it”. Go simple all the way – not too much jewely – this dress is enough as it is. maybe twist a little with some bronze/ copper colored shoes/purse/stola or jacket…and makeup – or twist with pink/ orange for some more color. You are not breaking any rules – well maybe a little.. by overglowing the bride…:0) Go with your first instinct!
