SOME WOMEN ARE just like eating me. Like the model Laura Ponte that I worked with in Madrid. She looked so supercool when she walked in to the hotel-room in her loose-fit Levis vintage-jeans, the top from a small chinese-shop (that would probably make Isabel Marant jealous). Laura have been working for Valentiono, Lagerfeld and Ralph Lauren, just to mention a few. And yes, I felt pretty much like a nerd next to her.

A few spelling and grammar mistakes are easily made if you use a foreign language. When Elin writes in Swedish, there is a certain personal Elin-touch to her texts. I think that her personal tone is starting to show also in her English texts which is quite an achievement. Many Swedish people here have missed her “Elinish” Swedish texts but I don’t think they will feel that way any more soon.

Evva, I fully understand what you mean. But, does the use of a foreign language entitle you to spell Valentino’s name, “Valentiono”? Or, is that the Swedish spelling of his name? Garance Doré still maintains her blog in French with an online translated version. Maybe Elin should look into that instead of butchering the English language.
Anna, you could also just start reading another blog if you’re bothered by it. Besides, it’s not the way she writes we should care about, it’s the fashion!! :)

Anna, of course names should be spelled correctly but if you look at your keyboard, “i” and “o” are just beside each other.
I used to get irritated on spelling mistakes and comment that on blogs, but then I had to tell myself, a fashion blogger is not a linguist. Also, if post texts are overly worked on, the spontaneity is lost.

Anna, in case you haven´t noticed, Style by is a Swedish magazine. Being an “owner” of a Swedish magazine does not imply you have to be proficient in all kinds of foreign languages.
Elin does not have English as her mother tongue.
Elin started to write in English as an increasing number of visitors couldn’t understand Swedish. I believe many readers are happy for that.
And no, I haven’t read the fashion blogs at Vogue.com lately as I prefer Vogue.it. I read Franca’s blog, Italian version, a good opportunity to get a dosage of both Italian and fashion.

What´s so amazing about this model, she has average jeans on and a boring polka dot t-shirt and her hair looks awful. Her face is not all that, sorry to say it but her face takes me back to looking at pictures of people who sat in concentration camp. But yeap, taste is like the human ass, very split.
